PrepSheet

Terms of use and legal information

The short version: the tools are free to use, the numbers they give are only as good as the prices and quantities you put in, and paid templates and scan pages are covered by your statutory rights as a consumer.

Using the tools

PrepSheet's calculators, recipe tool, guides and templates help you estimate recipe, portion and menu costs from the ingredient and pack prices you enter. They are a practical aid, not accounting, tax, food-safety or business advice. You are responsible for checking your inputs, yields, allergens and selling prices, and for whether a result suits your kitchen. Keep your own copies of important recipes, and check that an exported or printed sheet is complete before you use it in service.

Accounts

You can cost, scale, print and export without an account. An account is optional and only needed to save a cloud copy of your recipe book or to use the invoice scan. You can delete an account and its data at any time from the account deletion page. How account data is handled is set out in the privacy policy.

Purchases

Paid templates are sold through Etsy, and Etsy's own terms apply to those orders. Scan pages for the invoice tool are paid for by card through Stripe; the price is shown at checkout before you pay. If something you bought does not work as described, email us and we will put it right or arrange a refund. Nothing here limits your statutory rights.

Content

You are welcome to link to any page and to use the free templates in your own kitchen. Please do not republish the guides or templates as your own. The embeddable calculator can be put on any site, as long as its credit stays in place.
